23 Reliable Ways to Make $300 or More a Day

There are dozens of reasons why you may need extra money. But, being able to make quick money isn’t always an option if you work a 9-5 job. But, if you are motivated to start making that extra cash, then hustling for a few more hours every week can get you the money you need.

However, I don’t want you to simply go from one idea to the next, because that rarely works in the long-term, and usually ends up causing you to feel burnt out. This is commonly called shiny object syndrome and is not sustainable.

I would suggest choosing only a few methods and sticking with those until you eventually reach that $300 mark. 

How to Make Money Online

Making money online has become one of the easiest ways, best ways, and also the fastest way for many tech-savvy individuals to make quick cash from anywhere in the world. Many of these individuals use their laptops to start a side hustle that eventually becomes their full-time income. And for those extra determined individuals, making millions every year in their online business.

Many ways to make money online include passive income that can eventually make millions, or at least have the potential to. With a trusty laptop, like a Macbook Air, or a budget-friendly laptop like this Chromebook from Amazon, making money online is easier than ever. 

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is among the most favored methods for content creators to make money. This method often requires that you have a website, a YouTube channel, a social media channel, a blog, a podcast, or some other way of recommending products to their viewers. You simply provide your audience with one of your affiliate links and if they click on it, you can earn a commission. 

Though it requires some strategy, taking online courses like Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers is one of the best ways to learn about the most effective strategies.

Affiliate marketing is also a way for many online business owners and entrepreneurs to make money on various online platforms. Amazon affiliates is one of the most popular affiliate networks to make money from. 

Online Surveys

There are different types of survey programs available, and not all are created equal. Many offer free gift cards for your time and your opinion, while others choose PayPal, a Visa card or something else.

I most recommend User Interviews as this one has the highest pay rate available. It is a little different in that it requires more of a time commitment, but can pay up to and even more than $100 an hour, depending on the study.

My second recommended online survey site is Swagbucks. And, while you won’t make a fortune by any means, you can easily spend some of your free time and earn money by completing a short survey, playing a game, voting in a poll, or completing some other task. You get paid in digital gift cards, PayPal, and other methods.

YouTube Channel

You’ve probably heard of those young teenagers or online gamers who make millions from their YouTube videos. Well, it’s true. If you can find the right niche, if you have video presence, and you are willing to put it the time, creating YouTube videos is a great way for you to make extra cash and earn passive income every day.

You don’t even need to have any experience to get started. I’ve heard many YouTubers simply recommend just getting started. If you need a webcam, or a microphone, I recommend trying this mic, and this webcam as these are the ones that I’ve used to make live streams on Facebook and to make content for my online courses.

Blogging

Blogging is one of the best ways to make an extra income online. Writing new blog posts regularly is an excellent way to reach a larger audience. As a blogger, I have the freedom to work when and where I want while also making money, even in my sleep. 

There are dozens of ways to make money as a blogger including affiliate marketing, email marketing, online courses, ads, membership and more.

Sell Online Courses

Online courses are an excellent way to make passive income for decades if you want. You only have to create the course once, update it if needed, and you can sell it as many times as you want. Online platforms like Kajabi, Teachable, and Thrivecart are the most common places to sell a digital course.

I recommend Thrivecart as it offers the best value. You will pay a larger upfront cost, but you will never have to pay a monthly fee, pay a higher fee for more students, or pay more to sell more courses. You pay for the program once, make as many courses as you want, sell as much as you want, and have as many students as you want.

Podcasts

Podcasts have become increasingly popular over the last 5-10 years, and it’s no wonder because some of the more popular shows have millions of listeners. So when you use ads and affiliate marketing in your podcasts, making money becomes an easy way to make extra cash doing what you love.

Email Marketing

This is one of the best ways for content creators to maximize their earning potential. With email marketing, the return on investment (ROI) is 36x higher than other marketing methods, so it’s easy to see why content creators include email with their content.

Whether you own a blog, have a YouTube channel, work on social media platforms, or even have a brick-and-mortar store, you can include email marketing as part of your marketing strategy.

While signing up for bonus offers won’t likely make you $300 every day of the year, you can take advantage of it when your credit card company, bank, or other financial institution has a bonus offer. 

So long as you are eligible for the offer, and as long as you are aware of the fine print, disadvantages, or consequences that may also be involved, bonus offers can give you a boost in extra cash when you need it.

Open a Small Business Online

When I first started my Facebook group for online business owners, I was pretty surprised at how many people have a side hustle at home, and the variety of side hustles that are out there.

Whether you sell jewelry, make soap, bake cupcakes, or have some other craft you can share, a small online business can make you a nice chunk of change. Depending on where you are in your online business, you may be making a few dollars a day, or a few hundred. But, if you are making a few hundred, chances are, your side business is now you main source of income.

Sell Digital Products

Similar to selling digital courses, digital products have a sense of eternal income potential. You can create your digital product once, and sell it as many times as you need. Sites like Etsy or Shopify are a great way to sell digital products. 

Digital products can include ebooks, PDFs, pictures, art prints, recipes, patterns, and much more. So, even if you don’t have a knack for digital design, you can still create some great digital products. 

Virtual Assistant

Working as a virtual assistant is a great opportunity for you to start earning money online. Virtual assistants can do all sorts of things for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and even larger companies. 

This can include monitoring and responding to emails, answering questions from social media, scheduling appointments, and other administrative tasks that need to be done. As a virtual assistant, you can essentially set your own hours so long as you complete any necessary tasks. 

V.A.s make an average of $25 an hour, so spending your free time throughout the day can earn you an extra $300 a day. And if you choose to be a freelancer, you can adjust your rate as well. Make sure you are legally protected as a freelancer by using this legal bundle.

Earn Money from Writing

There are dozens of ways to make money from writing. You can become a freelance writer, a ghostwriter, a blogger, and more.

Sell Stock Photos

If you have a knack for taking really good pictures or want to make money with that nice camera you have (or even your phone if you have a good camera on it), selling stock photos can be a great way for you to start making some cash on the side. Sites like Deposit Photos are a great place to start selling your pictures.

I even recently bought a package of stock photos from Deposit Photos and am totally in love with how great they look. I use them in my blog every day. 

If you put 10 photos on the platform, and each photo is downloaded 10 times, that means you just made $100. Now, imagine if your photos become popular and 100 people download each photo. That’s $1,000 right there. 

Selling stock photos can easily be one of the best ways to make passive income.

Invest in the Stock Market

However, investing can mean taking a risk, and sometimes even a big risk. But, with big risk comes big reward. And, for those who are willing to take a bit of a risk, and who have enough to invest, making $300 a day can be an easy way to earn passive income. 

Even if you don’t have much to invest, getting started today means that $1 today could be $2 tomorrow. That’s the great thing about investing. You don’t have to have thousands of dollars just to get started. You can start with as little as $10 and invest in a diverse market fund like the S&P 500. 

I recommend starting with SoFi Investing as they offer a very user-friendly platform with a mobile app. My favorite thing about SoFi’s platform is that you can even schedule a new stock purchase or sell when the market opens next. You can just set it and forget it and before you know it you’ll be making passive income in your sleep.

How to Make Money Offline

Work Side Gigs

Side gigs are a good way to earn some easy cash outside of your typical work hours. I have a few friends who love renovating different parts of homes, like tiling, painting, landscaping and more. 

You can even clean houses for an extra $50 plus on the weekends. Side gigs are one of the most popular ways to hustle your way to extra cash. 

Pick up Extra Shifts

While this may not be the most appealing idea for some, picking up extra shifts at your 9-5, or even working a part-time job outside of your day job can be one of the more effective ways to make some extra cash. 

Some great evening jobs that can make decent tips include bartending, waitressing, golf caddie, disc jockey, beautician, and more. While these typically require some level of skill, the extra tips can add up in addition to the base pay included in the job.

Rent a Room

Renting an extra room, or just some extra space in your home has become increasingly popular over the past decade, thanks to Air BNB. If you are away from home a lot, you may want to consider renting out the space to help pay for utilities, mortgage, and other costs. 

If you are a renter yourself, you may not be able to rent that space while you are gone, so you will want to make sure that you are not breaking any rules in your contract. While it’s not uncommon for those with large apartments to find a roommate, you will still want to check with your landlord if you aren’t sure. 

Make Money from Your Car

Making money with your car is a fairly common way for young adults to make extra money. With programs like Uber Eats, Doordash, and more, you can earn money by delivering fast food, and medicine. You can even deliver groceries as an Instacart Shopper. 

​You can also rent your car, similar to how you might rent an Air BNB. Sites like Turo allow you to sign up and start renting your car. 

A few other ways to make money from your car include carpooling with friends for gas money, placing ads on your car, or just being an Uber driver.

Garage Sale or Yard Sale

Having a garage sale is the best and easiest way to get rid of your unwanted items while also making a quick buck. A yard sale or a garage sale is usually an all-day affair, but if you have the right stuff, know how to price yourself, and are willing to put in the effort, you can easily make $300 in a day’s work.

If you plan your sale around the busier days, having a successful garage sale or yard sale is a breeze. 

Teach Music Lessons

For those with musical talent, or knowledge of a specific instrument, offering to teach music lessons can be a great way to make a few extra bucks from home. Most people who teach from their homes set their hourly rate to around $20-50 an hour, depending on their skill level and the instrument. 

I taught piano and violin lessons as a senior in high school. While I only had 3 students, and I only charged $10 for a 30-minute session, I could have easily charged more, and had several students every day.

If you are just starting, I recommend charging $20 for a 30 to 60-minute session and trying to schedule your students on the same day. 

For the sake of visualizing, say you charge $20 for a 30-minute session, and you have 4 students every day week day. This comes out to an extra $80 a day, and $400 a week. Now, if you increase your students, or your hourly rate, you can start reaching that $300 a day.

Become a Tutor

Becoming a tutor is a great way to earn extra cash. You can choose to work online, or you can simply work from home as a freelancer. Either way, you can often choose the hours you work, and the hourly rate. And the higher in demand your subject is, the more you can charge. 

Start at a lower rate of $15-20 for a half hour, and increase it as you take on more students, or as they improve their grades. Just always make sure you are charging a fair rate, and your students feel they are still benefitting from your service. Eventually, you can start making up to $50 or more an hour, especially if you have multiple students in a session.

Become a Photographer

There are many ways a photographer can make money. I previously mentioned selling stock photos as a means of income, but if you enjoy working directly with people, you can very easily make thousands in extra cash every week by being a wedding photographer, shooting senior photos, family photos, and more.

Selling plasma is a typical way for college students to make money to pay for their textbooks. But, did you know that almost anyone can donate their plasma and earn up to $400 or more in a month?

I actually used to donate plasma on the regular when I was in college, but rather than just pay for textbooks, I was also able to pay off my car 6 months early. Boy did that feel great!

You can donate up to 2 times a week, so while you won’t be able to earn $300 every day by doing this, selling plasma can be one of how you make a few extra bucks every week.
